The Common House
Duwamish Cohousing’s large common house is a standalone two story building with:
- -large common space/dining hall
- -kids room fully visible from the common space
- -large kitchen
- -sunroom with cozy gas fireplace and piano
- -an attached upper deck
- -common laundry facilities
- -rec room with projector for community movies, board games, and DVD/book library
- -and the common space opens to a large outdoor gathering space

Playground and Gathering Space
Adjacent to the upper level of the common house is our large outdoor gathering space and kids playground. We’ll often have night-time campfires to gather around. In the summer, the large doors of the dining hall are opened to enjoy the summer weather outside as well.

Exercise Room and Shop
Outside the common house, we also have a workshop, an exercise room, and a garden shed.
Bike Room and Storage Room
Also available to community residents is a spot in the locked community bike room. Storage spaces for additional storage can be rented in the community.

Gardens and Native Landscaping
Duwamish Cohousing is filled with nature, including native landscaping and food gardens, fruit trees, and berries. The South Garden provides both food gardening plots and a quiet place to enjoy nature. Another food garden on the North side includes plots for gardening with the community, often filled with tasty edibles! A forested wetland with footpath is maintained, along with forested slopes and a community orchard.
